Pass It On Day |
Cothrom’s first ever “Pass It On” day was held Saturday 3rd September at Ormiclate Learning Centre. Everybody who attended walked away happy with a good swap, as well as a tummy full of tasty baking, teas, coffees and classy mocktails.
A Pass It On day revolves around swapping good quality, unwanted items. A perfect opportunity to rid yourself of those unwanted gifts that have been lying around gathering dust in cupboards or that must have gadget that has never been out of it's box or the sale item that was too good a bargain not to buy but you've just never found a use for! All these items are swapped first for tokens, which in turn, are swapped for other people’s passed on items.
Items swapped included, DVDs, slow cookers, mirrors, kitchen utensils, jewellery and much, much more. Swappers had the chance to look around the Cothrom building where stalls were hosted by Cothrom, Re-Store, Volunteer Centre Western Isles and Health Scotland before enjoying the raffle and a good cuppa!
We would like to thank Claire Scott from Volunteer Centre Western Isles, Kenna MacInnes from Health Scotland and the SHARE thrift shop ladies who provided teas, coffees and plentiful baking.
