Cothrom, meaning opportunity in Gaelic, is a Community and Development organisation in South Uist in the Western Isles. From our base in Ormiclate we cover the islands of Berneray to Barra.
Training and community support are the main focuses of our work with a diverse portfolio of adult learning opportunities, Recovery Support Services, Homelessness and Advocacy programmes and a full time Gàidhlig Nursery, Cothrom Òg, for children aged 3 months to pre-school.

Cothrom is currently open to members of the public as follows:
- Bùth ReStore is open Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 4:30pm and 11-4pm on the last Saturday of every month.
- The Learning Centre is open 9 - 5pm Monday - Friday, here to support you at all times but appointment is preferred.
- Cothrom Òg is open for registered children 8-5pm (5:30pm on request).
- Cothrom Og has after school provision available 3:30-5pm every day.
