Kevin Morrison came for a very active ‘Stay & Play’ session. This not only helped to develop the children’s gross motor skills, but they are also learning that being active is healthy. We learnt some new games ‘Sheep Tig’ and ‘Banana Tig’ and played some old favourites ‘Tunnel Tig’ and ‘Traffic Lights’.
The children have experimented with felting wool in ReStore, and have made these adorable little sheep.
Our ‘Stay and Play’ session was a huge hit with the children. One of our parents came in to make fruit smoothies with us to tie in with our topic ‘Healthy Eating and Keeping Fit’. They were delicious!
This week the children have learnt about Chinese New Year. They made dragons, lanterns, fans, and tasted some Chinese food.
The children were actively involved in making their own pancakes for Shrove Tuesday. They were delicious!
On our blog you can read about all the things we get up to in the nursery.
