For our summer topic, the theme in the 4-5 room is holidays. Over the past couple of weeks, the children have had great fun planning where they want to go on their holidays and have engaged in some great conversations about what they will be getting up to on their travels!
The children have also been busy making their own tickets and passports, set up their own airport and have even made their own plane which they have really enjoyed. The children also took part in discussions about the various ways they can travel on holiday.
Today we held our 2021 Graduations at Cothrom Òg. We are sad to say goodbye to Thomas, Emma Rose, and Coinneach. Wishing all three the best of luck for school.
The 0-2 group have come to the end of their Roban & Robag topic. The children have enjoyed listening to the story and loved the part when the crab gets Roban's tail. Here they all are finishing off the wall display.
The 0-2 group summer wall is coming along nicely. We've been making flowers, colouring in the ice-cream van, and the children have been making representations of themselves for their play park wall display.
The last couple weeks the 3-4 group have been working on their mini beast topic. They have had lots of fun exploring outside in the sun and looking for mini beasts with our magnifying glasses. They have been creating mini beasts for our display wall, they made some snails using egg cartons, they also took part in a sorting bug game which they all did great in. The children are still really enjoying this topic. The children put their bug hotel out and are waiting on some guests to visit.
On our blog you can read about all the things we get up to in the nursery.
