We started off the term by learning a little about Autumn. The children were excited to investigate the changes that take place over the season even the rain didn’t stop them! The children took part in various arts and craft sessions between the nursey and ReStore, with Maria.

The children attended a felting session at ReStore with Rebecca Cotton. They made their own sheep using different coloured wool.
Last week we made little boats out of milk bottle caps in ReStore. We made masts out of pipe cleaner and sails out of felt. We glued it all together and decorated with some pretty rhinestones. We then tested them out in the nursery, and they float!
To celebrate Recycling Week the children made aprons from excess material in ReStore with Maria. Later on in the week they wore the aprons whilst participating in some roleplay in their 'cafe'.
The children have been busy making tea light holders at ReStore with Maria. They will be on sale at our Summer Fête on the 2nd of June, come and grab yourself a unique table centrepiece!
The children have experimented with felting wool in ReStore, and have made these adorable little sheep.
The children have been making Haggises at ReStore in preparation for Burns Night. They're made out of an old cushion and some tartan tweed.
We have been going over to ReStore for a project on fabric recycling. From the fabric a cushion was made, which we use in the baby room.
