Thank you to Laura Skinner who dropped off 3 chicks to visit last week. This week Laura dropped off 2 runner ducklings and a chick to visit – as you can see, all the children loved the chance to get to hold the chicks and ducklings. It is so important for the children to have these opportunities, as some children wouldn’t otherwise experience this. They were all so careful when holding the chicks and duckling, asking questions about them, what they eat, where the mammies and daddies were and where they sleep. Laura has offered to drop the duckling back once they are a bit bigger so the children can see the difference in them, how they have grown, how they look when their feather grow in and how they change colour.
On our blog you can read about all the things we get up to in the nursery.
