Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs) in Business and Administration are designed to equip those working in business and administration with the skills and knowledge they need to demonstrate competence in their job role. Business & Administration is a varied and important area of work, and the opportunities to develop your career are endless. Most people need some Business & Administration skills to carry out a part of their job and as technology improves the job roles in Business & Administration will change so it is important that people in business support roles continue to update their skills.
The Business & Administration SVQs are designed for people in the workplace and consist of a number of units, each covering a specific area of work.

- The SVQ in Business and Administration at SCQF level 6 consists of three mandatory units and five optional units.
- Candidates will be guided through the SVQ by a tutor and also the workplace supervisor.
- A portfolio of evidence will be compiled by the candidate. This contains documentary evidence relating to your work.
