Rural Food Tourism Event

Do you have an agriculture, croft, farm, food and drink or tourism business in Uist? 

The Rural Food Tourism Places project, commissioned by HIE, will provide support to help rural businesses explore diversification and ways to collaborate across these sectors. This will improve sustainability over the long term and help to make the most of what the area offers.

If you would like to learn more or get involved, come along to Cothrom on Friday 31 May from 9.30am (for a 10am start). Light lunch to follow. Please register with Lynne Maciver at - lynne.maciver@maciverps.co.uk

The Scottish Government will provide 1,140 hours of funded childcare to all eligible children in 2020. 
 
In the Western Isles this will come into effect from August 2020, delivered through the Comhairle. 
 
Cothrom Òg is a partner provider which means that all children who are eligible can receive their funded hours at Cothrom all year (30 hours per week), between 8am and 5.30pm.  For an application form, please contact the Nursery Manager on cothromog@cothrom.net or 01878 700912.

National Numeracy Day is an annual celebration of the importance of numbers in everyday life. From getting the best supermarket deals to managing family finances, understanding salaries or getting a promotion at work - we all use numbers every day.   Try out our short quiz or log onto the National Numeracy website and try out the Numeracy Challenge  to test basic skills which you need in daily life and the workplace.
