Cothrom would like to offer you this exciting opportunity of Modern Apprenticeships in Hospitality Services and Hospitality Supervision and Leadership.
Both apprenticeships require the student to complete a Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) at Level 2 or 3 and as the training is work-based, they have to complete a portfolio of evidence. The SVQ Level 2 has limited written work by the student, as most of the evidence is gathered through observation by the course tutor/assessor. The Level 3 Supervision and Leadership SVQ is aimed at more experienced staff and requires additional written work. More information on course content can be found Hospitality page.
The Modern Apprenticeship programme is funded by Skills Development Scotland and is FREE for those aged 16 to 19 wishing to access the SVQ Level 2, and to those 16 to 24 for the SVQ Level 3. You are required to be out of full time education.
Not only does the Modern Apprenticeships programme help you to expand your knowledge and skills, it can boost your career prospects.
Places are limited so if you are interested in these courses, or would like any further information, please contact Cothrom on 01878 700910 soonest.
Following discussions with Scottish Government, Skills Development Scotland are pleased to confirm that the Individual Training Account scheme (ITA) will reopen to new applications from 27 June 2019.
There will only be up to 15,000 applications for funding from this date until 30 September 2019. The scheme will be put on hold when the target of 15,000 is met or by 30 September, whichever comes first.
All applications made within this phase will be honoured provided they are verified within four weeks. Any applications not verified as being eligible for funding and converted to an assignment within four weeks will be deleted from the system and individuals will need to apply again, provided the 15,000 target has not been met by that point.
