Pass it on Week is a national call to action for people in Scotland to embrace the incredible potential of re-use. The aim is to make buying a second hand kitchen table as normal as re-using a carrier bag.
If you've got clothes and textiles, books, CDs, DVDs, or furniture that you no longer want - pass it on! You can drop it off at Bùth ReStore, alternatively use the clothes banks dotted around the island for any textiles, or ask our van for a free pick-up.
ReStore are looking for donations of furniture paint (e.g. chalk paint). We'll gladly accept tins, no matter how much paint is left. If you're unable to drop it off in the shop, we're happy to pick it up when the van is out. Give us a call on 01878 700910.
In December our learners (with a little bit of help from staff and volunteers) completed an order of bunting for Stoneybridge Hall. This large project had input from a number of our learners, not only in cutting and piecing the bunting together, but also in hanging it up in the hall.

Blythswood visited Uist again recently to pick up the textiles which have been collected during the past few months from the Uist based textile banks held by Cothrom and Share, and donations to UCVO.
Thank you to all who have donated to our textile banks over the past few months, the van was full leaving Uist. A big thanks to all the volunteers who undertake the collections in the ReStore van throughout the year and to the team for assisting with the transfer to the Blythswood lorry.
Just a wee reminder that it really helps if clothes are sealed in bags and the bags are not overfilled, this reduces the chances of them getting wet and increases the chances of items being usable at their end destination.
ReStore welcome textiles suitable for use in upholstery and up cycling directly at the shop, so good condition, clean items such as curtains, cushions and heavy fabrics such as cord, tweed. These can be delivered to the shop or in bags clearly marked on the outside as for ReStore in the textile banks.
