Management

These work-based qualifications are aimed at assessing the skills and knowledge that candidates currently possess, and furthermore need, to perform their roles effectively. Candidates provide evidence relating to the standards for the specific unit being undertaken. Acceptable evidence can include assessor observation in the workplace, reports / plans produced by the candidate or personal statements focusing on ‘real’ work.

Professional Development Awards (PDAs) in Management are available in the following options:-

PDA in Leadership at SCQF Level 8 is made up of two mandatory units
  • Develop and implement operational plans for your area of responsibility
  • Provide leadership in your area of responsibility

PDA in Leading Change at SCQF Level 9 is made up of two mandatory units
  • Encourage innovation in your area of responsibility
  • Lead change

PDA in Managing projects and business processes at SCQF level 9 is made up of two mandatory units
  • Manage a project
  • Manage business processes

PDA in Planning and implementing change is made up of two mandatory units
  • Plan change
  • Implement change

Studying Management with Cothrom
Candidates will be supported  throughout the training by a dedicated Tutor who will be available in person, by telephone and e-mail. Students will agree an individual training plan for the course with the Tutor which will be supported by workplace visits and tutorials / workshops as required. Our facility in Ormiclate also provides the candidate with excellent study and learning resources.

There is a cost to the Professional Development Awards but some of this can be offset by Individual Training Account (ITA) funding if eligible.  To check ITA funding eligibility visit My World of Work
