Social Services (Children and Young People) is the qualification which set out performance and knowledge standards for people who wish to work in childcare.
Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF level 6
The course requires candidates to be working in a supported role, they should not be working unsupervised.
Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF level 7
The course requires candidates to be working with minimal supervision and having a high degree of independence for the planning and promotion of the curriculum.
Candidates engage in tutorials in order to gain the underpinning knowledge necessary for their qualification. The candidate requires to be working in an Early Years setting in order to gain the necessary experience. They are assessed in the workplace and through a range of methods such as assignments, case studies, and reflective accounts.
