Substance misuse
Cothrom works with people affected by substance misuse and their families to take steps towards recovery and healthy living
We can provide a community based confidential substance misuse recovery service for people living in the Uists aged 16 and over. We support individuals alongside families and carers to develop a personal recovery action plan. This means we focus on helping people achieve their individual goals based on their hopes and aspirations along their recovery journey.
We work in partnership with NHS Health and Social Care, families, peers, and wider circles of community based support in sustaining recovery for individuals

Mentoring
Cothrom has a network of Mentors available within the community who can support individuals looking to make positive decisions. This support is targeted at people aged 16 to 24.
Support provided by mentors include, for example, health and mental health issues, confidence and self-esteem, career aspirations, job applications and work experience, setting up enterprise, and can range from long-term (over a year) to short-term (a few sessions), depending on the individuals needs and wants. My experience with mentoring has changed the way I view the world and allowed me to realise that my dreams are indeed achievable and that I can see them through. I have grown more confident in my own ability, and in my own self. |
in-work training
Cothrom offers a number of courses available to those in employment. Courses can be offered with certificiation for CPD or tailored to suit the requirements. If you have any training needs do no hesitate to get in touch. We also work with Social Enterprise Academy to deliver courses such as Project Management and Facilitation skills and we can deliver training to those in childcare, hospitality, business and admin, and management.
