Grow me project co-ordinator
Cothrom is looking to build on the pilot programme which was delivered in 2017 to deliver a parent club and will use Aspiring Communities funding to reach families within the community and provide a focal point for meeting, access to information and advice and contact with support organisations. The key aim of the families programme will be to provide somewhere for parents to come together in a safe and supportive environment. We are looking for session staff to facilitate this.
After school co-ordinator
We are looking to develop our after school provision which will enhance our existing childcare provision within the Centre. This is a very welcome opportunity to provide childcare from after school until 6pm and during holiday periods, providing activities including craft, outdoor play, games as well as homework time. The provision will be through the medium of Gàidhlig and open to all children up to the age of 12. The post holder will develop the service, working with parents and schools, to ensure the provision meets the needs of children and parents and works within the setting of the organisation.
Cothrom is also looking for a Recovery Support Worker. The main role is to provide 1-1 and group support to individuals who are in recovery from addiction or need support to start their recovery journey. The post works within the centre and works alongside tutors to ensure that individuals have the opportunity to participate in adult learning, volunteering, gardening and in developing coping strategies. The support to individuals is long term and meaningful. Cothrom operates within the Substance Misuse Partnership for Uist and Barra and the opportunity exists for additional hours in the provision of administration for the partnership, including prompting services within the community and planning joint events.
